It's Here. . . .

Summer is in full swing at our house!!!! Which also means my schedule is. . . .
ALL over the place!!!!!
Everything has been dumped and thrown out the window, my routine, kids routine, normal bedtimes, waking up early! We are all over the board we have got to get routine back!!!! ASAP!!!! It's not normal that we are all going to bed after midnight every stinkin night!!! We all enjoy each other so much that we all just hang out!!! Which then means we all roll out of bed at 10am, which is ridiculous!!!! Dinner time has been none existent, which means we have all been scrambling to eat something or grab something as we decide to come in for the day around 9 PM.

HELLO SUMMER!!!!!
We enjoyed you a ton last year and did lots of fun things!!! However I swear last year you didn't take my routine. Unless you did and the memories were so fun that I didn't seem to notice the loss of routine!!!!

We are 2 weeks into summer, and the one thing I know is summer isn't going to take my routine.

How do you adjust for summer???

soak it all in because it's so short lived and only warm for a short 2 months. We go with the flow and worry about routine the other 10 months LOL ;-)

Hmmm...the summer isn't any different than the normal year for me. Wait...I do get Fridays off :) I have found that I do a lot more outside activity when the summer's here!! This...my friend...is a good thing!!!

I love my schedule and routine...however in the summer I try and take a deep breath and go with the flow...or I may miss the FUN! We try and do easy meals and keep the freezer stocked with chicken breast. My husband will grill and I will stop on our way home from swimming and hit a veggie/fruit stand.
Happy Birthday!

In my world, summer brings more routine because I'm coming back from college and start back at work full time. My hours are the same so I can plan accordingly. I'm sure that will all change someday...

we are have no schedule this week and next and i am enjoying it, my big thing to get us up and out is the gym in the am. the harder part is the afternoon where i would love to veg out and really the girls need to be playing not couch potatoing .... then 2 weeks of swim camp and then full on summer....we leave near beach so my plans are - gym, lunch, beach.....

Sad that all those yummy berries fell on the floor! I thought those were chocolate chips and it made me want a chocolate covered strawberry and then I noticed they were blueberries. haha.

ENJOY SUMMER! That is when so many wonderful memories are made. The ones your children will talk about their WHOLE LIFE and then before you know it they will all be grown up and on their own!

Can you tell that I am sad that I have gone from having 5 little ones home to now just 2?? Really just 1 who is just home most of the day. IT goes TOO fast!!
Love you, Mom :)

Yay for summer. However, I do not like getting out of routine, and as a teacher that can be difficult. Thus, I love teaching summer school so I get up at a decent time and then have the rest of the day to get things done, or be lazy like I have been a bit for the past couple of weeks. Who knows what July and August will be like when summer school is done... I am a bit afraid!

Summer is so crazy. I find myself not even knowing what day it is. I love routines, so summer gets me way out of whack. It's so much fun though :)

I am adjusting to my summer schedule pretty easily. Not that I'm not spontaneous, but my kids do better when they stick to their "normal"(ish) bedtime & naps. Plus we tend to be boring homebodies :) Enjoy the summer. Have fun. It'll be over before ya know it!

The only summer adjustment I get is half day Fridays!!! Otherwise my life stays about the same... I miss the days of school and having summers off!

With us, we homeschool, so summer is really no different. And for that, I am truly thankful!
