Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. -Henry Ford

You have to believe in yourself, you're stronger then you think you are and have more drive and determination deep down than you know!

When I first started my journey and looked like this. . .

I believed that one day I would achieve my goals! Sure there were days that I thought it would never come. On those days I took it minute by minute and hour by hour. One of the best tips I have is DO NOT worry about tomorrow until it is here. Have a basic game plan and STICK to it.  You will overwhelm yourself if you’re constantly worrying about the journey. You have to take time to enjoy the journey! Right now you're thinking enjoy??? Ya right. . . . how? Trust me you will find ways that make you enjoy the journey :) Relish in the simple victories!

One thing that I did everyday was. . . I had a piece of paper written with 3 statements that I read to myself over and over again.
I would read this paper every morning!
I would repeat the words when I was struggling through my workout, or food choices. I would tell myself over and over again. I am healthy- I am tone- I am fit I CAN DO THIS!!!

Having a Positive Mental Attitude helped me a ton!

How do you stay positive? Or are you just starting? If you're just starting pick 3 words and post them and let me know what your new motto will be!!!!

Have a Happy Wednesday Everybody!!!
I'm headed to the gym :)
* Today I doing arms, abs and 30 minutes on elliptical.

I love this post. I am a big believer that a positive attitude makes all the difference. My three words would be strong, fit and determined!

I even showed your before and afters to Mr. Debbie - I get so happy when I see success stories such as yours.

Can't wait to look back through your posts over the next few days to read more about your journey.

I adore that sign. :) You are amazing.

Positive affirmations are the best. I also have to remind myself not to be to hard on myself. :)

Thanks for stopping by my page and what a great post and words of motivation.

I've never been a wish board person but I have a feeling this is going to change very soon.

Oh thank you!THis is SO timely for me.

I was talking to my trainer last night over what would be the ONE thing that I really need to do to make this whole weight loss thing happen? We worked through it together for an hour.

And the one "task" I finally got to?

BELIEVE

And then here you are!

I have to agree with the above commenter. One of my mottos is going to be "I am capable". I need to believe in myself that I really CAN do this, that I AM capable! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I'm adding you to my google reader!

This was a fun exercise to do. I gave it some thought at work today and came up with these 3. . .

1- *desire*; to wish or long for; crave; want.
2- *faith*; believing in things unseen; confidence; trust.
3- *execute*; to carry out;accomplish; to do!

Enjoyed your post on Good things Utah! You look great and how neat to be featured on the show!

I'll have to think on the three words!

Have a great day!

I have never been one to believe in the use of mantra but that is probably because I have a problem with having a healthy positive attitude. I am going to try this though because it worked for you.

I am...
Capable
Strong
Determined

Wow, you look AMAZING. I truly hope that one day I can achieve what you have.
I'm just beginning this long journey but I've realized just how important it is to stay positive and tell myself that I can do it, even when I want to cry.

a little positive attitude goes a long way! :) but you don't need me to tell you that.

You're so refreshing. I've been "getting healthy" (I hate the word DIET) for a while now and it's definitely a day by day journey. The important thing is not to RUSH it. Setting unrealistic goals for yourself is never a good idea.

Stay focused, stay real, stay strong. :)

i'm not a big crier...but you really made me cry just now. you are so right. it's so true. enjoy the journey. dont worry about tomorrow til it's here.

jesus told his disciples "dont be anxious over the next day, for the next day will have it's OWN anxiety. sufficient for each day is its own badness"

i just love your posts!
