Date Night

Okay you all pretty much rock! I was scared to see what you would all say about the running.
So a huge THANKS for all your support.
My food, the soup is low sodium tomato soup, one of my favs for lunch.
I really lack in the veggie department.....I need to make myself like them!!!
Friday night is DATE NIGHT! We went to a new yummy place. I had the salad in the picture it was so tasty. I could only eat 3/4ths of it but it was yummy!!! On Friday nights I like to be a fun date and not be "overly" picky on where and what I will eat. So I indulged a little :) A little tip with Mexican salads they NEVER need the dressing just juice the limes and add lots of pico, super yummy!
After dinner we headed for fro-yo and a beautiful mountain view. Nothing beats the Utah mountains BEAUTIFUL!
I didn't work out yesterday I rested for my big ride today.

What are your favorite date nights?
What is your workout for today?

Exercise today will be walking and hill climbing. Gonna be hot, I am gonna sweat.

I will do a casual 7-12 mile ride today because I walked yesterday for 5.5 miles in the morning, then ran another 3 after work!

I love the food pictures! It is always so helpful to see what others are eating and to get ideas on what I can be adding to my menu.

I recently started taking photos of my food too for my blog and nothing has made me more honest and thoughtful about my eating choices.

Love the pics! I have really enjoyed watching your journey through your blog. I'm a former "before" girl too.
(I'm 5'7" and I weighed 200lbs the day I delivered my son!... about 80lbs ago)
I'm so slow this week, I missed your road ID giveaway, shucks!
Keep up the work. So.... as your falling in love with cycling, I find myself trying to use cycling to cross train and I'm your flip side. Love running like cycling.
Have fun!

MY workout for today was a 6 mile run. I have to give you lots of credit for realizing the half marathon was not for you. There are times when I feel I'm not training for a race for ME anymore...just to satisfy everyone else. I've never been a biker...biking is very hard for me (not that running is easy). I am looking forward to reading more of your journey.

Enjoy your 30 miler!

I LOVE Utah's mountains!! My husband and I are trying to decide if we want to move there, so we can be closer to my family. Those mountains make it tempting, lol!

Looks like a fun date night - the view is gorgeous! Hope the ride went well today. I biked 22 miles and ran 3 at the course for my triathlon in two weeks . . . now I'm all hyped up. :)

Today's workout was, a 10km bush ride, followed by a killer breakfast and chilling for the rest of the day.

I used to hate vegies, I did a diet a few years ago that forced me to live mainly off vegies and have built up a liking for them and a lot of other foods too.

At times, I think I could live on pico de gallo alone.
