Push It

Today my run was awesome! The weather was PERFECT.
I am a sucker for good weather and todays was great. I just wish it would stay 70's year round!
When it hits the 80's and above, I will be complaining about the HEAT!!!
I ran 4.7 miles in 51.14

While I was running, I kept thinking about how amazing our bodies are. We can push them to take us places and to do things that we didn't think were possible.  I have only been running about 3 weeks and when I started, 2 miles KILLED me! I am really enjoying running and seeing how far I can push my body. I am excited to see just how far I can push mine!!!!!

How are you going to push your body next week?

I jogged (loped?) 2 miles on my treadmill before church last week, and although I've been taking fitness classes, it still was pretty tough. I was disappointed too, by my pace. I keep competing with the pace I kept when I played soccer in high school. I guess I need to be a little more patient, eh? It's over 90 here, by the way; much too hot to jog outside!

You go girl!! I'm thinking at this rate you can take the hardest and longest leg for RRR!

I ned to push my body more! I am going to go back to a "body blast" workout class 3 times this week, and walk on the treadmill every single day at least a half hour. Good for you running almost 5 miles! wow!!!

My weather is perfect at the moment too: I have to remember to take advantage of every second, before it turns icy!

I am so impressed with those numbers, after only 3 weeks!

I am in training for a half marathon, so I will be pushing hard.....

You're doing great! 3 Weeks!?! What's your furthest run now? It's exciting to push our bodies past what we think we can accomplish.

Keep up the good work! That is awesome! 70 is great running weather. This week I am going to really try and do more upper body work...that is where I am really slacking. :)

I'm with you on the weather I love when it is in the 70s :) perfect. We have been having that same glorious low 70s.
Only 3 weeks and you are running 2 miles, I'm impressed it took me much longer to get there, keep up the good work.

Great job on the run! It's crazy how much we can push our bodies. I've been doing Bikram Yoga and I've been pushing my body like crazy. I plan to do the same this next week.

Great job, Lindsay. You are doing great!

Yes, I intend to push my body this week. Didn't get any running in last week and was disappointed about that. THIS WEEK WILL BE BETTER!

Congrats on your running! Your site is so inspirational. I just finished a 10k yesterday so today is my rest day. I have to pick a way to push my body this week, thanks for the reminder!

Lindsay,
I just found your blog and I am so glad that I did! You are such an inspiration. I am on the same journey as you...trying to lose weight AND run! I just finished my first half marathon, I have a relay coming up in June, and I am going to do a marathon in September.

All of your posts are awesome and I love that you are letting us in on this journey you are on!
Thanks!!
(p.s.--We've met before, but it was just once and a long time ago at the bridal shower you threw for Jana...not sure if you remember)

Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog. It's great when we weave this interconnected support through the world. I wish you had blogged about your weight loss journey too, because your blog is so enjoyable to read. Please tell us more.

How I'm going to push myself?
Once I get well again, I'm going to take some new exercise classes and ride my bike more.

Nice run!! I love it when the weather works out for the best. I really pushed myself yesterday on my big bike ride so I might take it easy this week. I'm going to listen to my body.

I really like how even though you have come so far, you are not resting on your laurels... but keep pushing and trying new things, like the zumba, and now the running! Very inspirational.

And thank you for the nice comment on my blog.. it tickles my husband to get such nice compliments about his photography. It really is his passion.

I am a new runner too! Just hit the 5-mile mark. Never ever thought that was possible. This week I'm pushing out of lazy zone. It's Monday and I feel blah. I better nip in in the bud right NOW!

This week I'm going to try for 5 45 min sessions on the elliptical. Hopefully I don't talk myself out of it around the 30 min mark. :)

ps...making those yummy chicken tacos tonight for dinner. Very excited.
